Nikon D5000 is rumored to be announce on April, 14, 2009 by several websites. There are several images leaked in some websites. Nikon Rumor and Engadget has many of them.

Why it is might be popular? It will have swivel LCD, a feature that might be very useful for users that use live view mode in DSLR. There are only several DSLRs that have this feature, Olympus E-3 and upcoming E-620 will have full swivel lcd screens, while Sony A300 and A350 has limited articulating lcd screen.
We don’t really know the spec of the camera yet, but many hope that this camera has better live view mode and movie mode to challenge rival Canon 500D/T1i.
