Nikon Rumors website just posted leaked Nikon D300s lcd screen screenshot. D300s is a possible replacement for Nikon D300, About two weeks ago, NR posts the possible spec of D300s. If the specification is true, then this is list of new improvement from Nikon D300:
- Dual card slots, CF card and SD card.
- Movie mode with three size (1,280 x 720/24 fps, 640 x 424/24 fps, 320 x 216/24 fps)
- Audio could be recorded by optional external microphone
- Max movie record time is still 5 minutes for full size, 20 minutes for medium size
- Quiet shutter release option
Will this camera worth the upgrade?
- Nikon D300 users: Maybe not if you do not need movie mode
- Nikon D90 users: Will get faster continuous mode, 100% viewfinder, weather seal camera and external audio output.
- Nikon D5000 users: Will lose articulated lcd screen, will get faster continous burst, compatibility with AF-D lenses, a lot better viewfinder, Creative Lighting System and many more..
- Nikon D40 and D60 users: almost the same as above
It is also reported that D300 will be discountinued and replaced by Nikon D300s. We hope that the price is the same as D300 which is around $1600
