Polaroid Effects

by Enche Tjin on July 24, 2009

polaroid-byeToday, I read a newsweek article written by Andrew Romano about Polaroid instant camera which is already extinct couple years ago. As we already know, Polaroid images are far from perfect, it is not sharp, and often have  a weird color. Compared to digital camera which can reproduce reality (sometimes, it is often a lot better than reality), Polaroid is nothing.

But Andrew points out that the quality of Polaroid has to do about “nostalgic”effects:

I think, is that Polaroids look like memories-imperfect and incomplete, but somehow realer for it.

Thanks to point this out Andrew. Polaroid instant camera might be gone, but the images and memories will live on. Another form of Polaroid might be soon invented! Meanwhile, check out Poladroid software to convert your digital images to Polaroid style image. It is free download. Read full article and Polaroid  images on Newsweek.
