Nikon posted loss of 4 billion Yen

Sad news for manufacturers, after Pentax posted 941 million Yen loss in first quarter of 2009. Nikon posted 4 times greater loss. This loss is enormous blows to Nikon because camera, lenses (imaging) division is Nikon core business.

Nikon will rely on selling high-end SLR cameras and lenses to make up for the loss.  Nikon is also hopeful for their new Nikon Coolpix digital compact camera line. One of the compact camera has dual-function as camera and projector.
