Sony A750 picture is leaked in Sony Style website. This is spotted by letsgodigital, and soon bring a big question mark on this camera specification.
From the picture, it has similar body of Sony A700. So it is likely to be the improved version of A700. Some people speculate that this A750 will be another affordable full frame body by Sony like A850, but I personally think that it won’t happen because it does not share similar body design of other Sony full frame cameras.
Sony A750 will sits in between Sony A550 and Sony A850, full frame camera. It will be the most advanced Sony DSLR camera with crop sensor.
In the competition landscape, it will compete with Pentax K7, Canon 7D and Nikon D300s. [Read best advanced DSLR camera 2009 for comparison]
Here is some of my prediction on the specification
- 18 megapixel (improved from Sony A700’s 12 mp)
- 5 – 7 fps continuous burst (like Sony A550)
- Improved ISO and ISO range up to 12,800, 3200 will give a clean and acceptable result.
- Improved dynamic range, with customized HDR option
- Built-in Image stabilization (Steady Shot)
- Maybe there will be live view mode, but I doubt they will put a video
- 3″ Hi-res LCD screen
- Improved weather sealing
- Estimated Street price: $1300 body only
This might satisfy A700 or Sony beginners DSLR users (230-380 series) to upgrade their gear.
