It’s winter time! and it will be hard to shoot outdoor such as sports, landscape, street, etc. I knew this glove for a while, but I doubt if I still be able to control the camera buttons etc. I can’t find it on sporting stores in my area. After looking for other photographer’s gloves for a while, I can’t find it and I gave up and decided to give this Lowepro gloves a try.
Today, I finally get the gloves. I wear Medium size (my hand is considered small and quite skinny for typical male), and it fits well. For average male hand, I suggest Large and for big male hand, the XL size.
I tried the glove with compact camera, Ricoh GR Digital III, Elegant Point & Shoot 10mp Digital Camera, 28 F/1.9mm Lens, and it works well,I can change settings, push the small buttons without a problem. Later I tried to play with DSLR, Nikon D90 DX 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera and Nikon D700 12.1MP Digital SLR Camera, and it works effortless.
The construction quality of these gloves are better than I expect. It is tight and sturdy. It might last for years.
However, the gloves might not hold the cold for in extreme weather like in mountaintop, but it is great for regular winter weather, around 25F to 40F.
Beside for photography, this gloves will work well for driving, biking as well.
For working photojournalists, I highly recommend it.
