Nikon D3s sample images in high ISO setting

by Enche Tjin on November 26, 2009

nikon-d3sFengniao.com / hummingbird, publishes a series of portrait shots with Nikon D3s and the new 70-200mm f/2.8 VR in  high ISO setting. This include ISO 6400, 8000, 10000, 12800, H1, H2, H3.

The image was shot in very hard lighting situation, and based on my observation, it is about 1.5 stop improvement from previous sensor used by Nikon D3 and Nikon D700.

Check the full size images directly from their website, and then compare it to Canon 1d mark IV finding by Jeff Ascough.

Hi Enche

Many thanks for the link. The D3s certainly seems to have produced some very impressive images. Not being as discerning myself I for one would long to see the same shots made by both cameras, all other factors being equal if indeed they can ever be.

Hope you’re keeping well
