43rumors website reports that Panasonic is going to announce successor highly acclaimed advanced compact camera, Panasonic DMC-LX3 and a possible replacement of Panasonic G1, the first micro four third system camera on February 2010.
Panasonic LX3 has been regarded as the best advanced compact camera in this last two years and still very popular today although competition is closing by. Canon S90 IS, released 2009, is the closest competitor but it is not better than LX3.

I wish Panasonic LX4 can be improved in these area:
- Better quality image sensor
- Cleaner image in ISO 400 and above
- Automatic lens-cap
- 24-120mm (5x) zoom range instead of 3x (LX3)
- Improvement in handling
For the new Panasonic G series camera. It is harder to predict. If it is successor to G1, I expect there will be a movie recording mode and some other minor updates, but if it is successor GH1, which is targeted to advanced amateur / professional market, it will be more interesting. Stay tune for the updates.
UPDATE: 6/6/2010: The new G series are Panasonic G2 and Panasonic G10
