yes it does because the lens has internal focusing motor (HSM).

Does the Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 OS HSM auto focus on a Nikon D5000?

Does the lens have a built-in motor since the D5000 body doesn’t?

How can you call these affordable alternatives when the Nikon 18-55 kit lens and the Nikon AF S 55-200mm VR are both excellent lenses that cost less than all of the above Sigma’s?

Sigma adds an optical stabilizer called OS on their 70-300mm and it works well, and it will AF with Nikon D5000 and below, even no HSM mark (just a slow focus motor). I currently writing a review for this lens. I think the Sigma 70-300mm DG OS can be listed here as a cheap tele lens (under $450).

hai, which one is better for nikon D3000, is it nikkor 18-200mm or sigma 18-250mm? For potrait which one you guys prefer? For candid?

I love my Nikon D60. I bought it used along with a 35mm f/1.8 lens. Now it’s time for a telephoto lens. Thanks for the info here!
