Nikon D800 spec rumor

by Enche Tjin on March 1, 2011

Beside Nikon D5100, Nikon seems preparing the long-anticipated update to Nikon D700.

The Nikon D800, according, a Chinese website will have this specs:

  • 24 MP sensor
  • ISO up to 256000
  • up to FULL HD video recording
  • 51 AF point
  • 3″ 921k, LCD screen
  • 30″ – 1/8000 shutter speed
  • 7 continuous shooting speed
  • No built-in flash

As Nikon D700 owner whohope to upgrade to D800 someday, I am a bit disappointed because I don’t need most of the improvements. I don’t need the 24MP sensor or video recording mode. I welcome the 7 fps continuous shooting speed but hated if D800 does not has built-in flash. I use the built-in flash to trigger my Nikon flash a lot (Creative lighting system). I also hope the Nikon D800 is lighter and more compact.
