by Enche Tjin on September 1, 2011

Samsung NX200 is a compact interchangeable camera system with APS-C sensor (similar to most DSLR cameras) in the market. Unlike DSLR cameras, NX200 has very slim and lightweight body. Compared to NX10 and NX100, NX200 body looks tougher.

Here’s the Samsung NX200 main spec:

  • 20 MP sensor
  • 7 fps continuous shooting speed
  • 3″ Amoled LCD Screen
  • Full 1080p
  • Compatible with iFn lens function
  • 1/4000 sec shutter speed
  • Price: $900

Samsung NX200’s toughest competitors will be Sony NEX system, especially Sony NEX-5N and NEX-7.

Some advantages of Samsung NX system:

  • Clear lens roadmap up to 2013 which will include professional high quality lenses
  • I function lens control
  • Quality lens at more affordable price such as Samsung NX 30mm f/2

Some advantages of Sony NEX system:

  • Some cameras has articulating/tilting LCD screen
  • Slimmer body and some zoom lenses (albeit longer)
  • More extensive Sony Alpha lens collection via adapter

Great upgrade for Samsung !
As a NX user, I’m very happy with the system which could deliver amazing pictures comparable to SLR Digital.
Can’t wait for the 60/2.8 OIS macro and 85/1.4 lens on my bag !
