Nikon just announces one multipurpose zoom lens and one compact standard zoom lens for full frame (FX) camera. Nikon 18-300mm is the longest focal length (16.7X). It is ideal for people who want an all-in one lens that can shoot landscape to faraway subject such as wildlife photos. It has 1:3.2X reproduction ratio which is pretty good for zoom lens for close-up photography.

Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-5.6 is a lightweight everyday walkabout lens designed for full frame DSLR camera such as Nikon D700 or D800. (the focal length is equivalent to 18-55mm in DX camera).

Many suspects that the new 24-85mm VR lens will be bundled with Nikon D600, an affordable full frame camera which is still a rumor.
