Nikon D4s – the new King of speed

Today, Nikon announces the new flagship DSLR camera. Nikon D4s is the new king of speed and low light performance. D4s has EXPEED 4 processor inside, the same as D3300 and D5300. With this new processor, D4s gets some new improvements such as:

  • Faster continuous shooting (11 fps with AF)
  • ISO up to 409.600 (native ISO  100-25600)
  • Full HD video 60fps
  • Battery capacity up to 3020 shots in single release, more than 5000 in continuous shooting


Beside those improvements, D4s also gets a new Group AF system to help on tracking new subjects, and an option to record small RAW file.

Nikon D4s price is $6500, around $500 more expensive than Nikon D4 when its first announced two years ago. Nikon D4s is designed primarily for working photojournalists and sports photographer who doesn’t want to compromise on speed and image quality in low light setting. Nikon D4s primarily competition will be Canon 1DX ($6800).
